Beta Capital is one of Portugal's pioneer venture firms, founded in 2003 as one of the first true VC companies in the country and based in Porto. It invests in early-stage, technology-based companies — from MVP and proof-of-concept through scaling sales and teams globally — with tickets typically between €250K and €1M, and a track record concentrated in deep tech, biotech, life sciences, agri-food, and software. Its most recent vehicle is BETA BEAT I, a €20M pan-European deep-tech fund launched in February 2026.
