ABOUT CTT 1520 INNOVATION FUND
CTT's corporate venture activity runs through the 1520 Innovation Fund (originally branded TechTree), launched in 2021 with €4M and reinforced to €8M at the end of 2023. The fund is fully financed by CTT – Correios de Portugal and managed by Iberis Capital, with deal sourcing and co-innovation handled by CTT's 1520 StartupProgram under Nuno Matos, Director of Digital, New Channels and Innovation. It invests in seed, Series A and growth-stage startups and SMEs in sectors aligned with CTT's priorities: e-commerce, operations and logistics, communications, fintech, retail, advertising and sustainability. As of November 2025 the fund had backed nine companies — KIT-AR, Sensefinity, Habit, Fraudio, Paynest, Ubirider, Neuralshift, GoFact and ZeroPact — and CTT states it has co-innovation projects under way with almost all of them. The 1520 StartupProgram has mapped more than 2,000 companies and runs commercial partnerships, co-creation pilots and one acquisition alongside the fund, giving portfolio companies access to CTT's national delivery network, retail footprint and financial services arm.
